PEDO HAD SEX WITH GIRL, 13, HE 'WED' IN ONLINE GAME

A MAN has been busted for having sex with a 13-year-old girl that he met and 'married while playing an online game.
John W Phillips, who at 54 is old enough to be her grandfather, stands accused of having sex at least three times with the teen, after they started a relationship in the RuneScape multiplayer game.  
Cops say that  they ‘married’ in the online role-playing platform and after he hand delivered a mobile phone to her in February last year.
Then they had sex at a motel, in his van and at her home.
He has now been charged with 11 felonies including sexual assault, using a computer to communicate with another person to commit a crime, accosting a child for immoral purposes and child sexually abusive activity after his arrest in New York last month. .
He faces maximum sentences for the charges ranging from four to 20 years in
prison.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Corporal Ray Johnson, said Phillips and the girl took part in a RuneScape marriage ceremony last year.
He told The Detroit News: "They got married in the game. Maybe he thought that was legitimate in real life. It's not.’Cops discovered the pair’s relationship after the girl’s mother found her exchanging text messages, even though she was not permitted to own a mobile phone.

The alleged victim is now undergoing counselling.
