Algebra tutor Solona Islam claimed she thought she was going to work for a dating service and that she was desperate for money, but pleaded guilty this November to a prostitution charge.
She had been put on administrative leave, but has now left her job, saying she didn't want the school district involved in her personal matters.
Amazingly her school was not notified by cops ho caught her in a sting operation, because the charge was not a felony.
But school officials suspended the wayward tutor after finding out.
Islam, who was in the fifth year of her teacher career, told Fox 16 that she had fallen on hard times. She was involved in a lawsuit that garnished her wages and she was getting behind on her bills.
She added that she hoped it wouldn't affect her chances of another job.
She said: "I'm really applying for other jobs. Everyone is saying I'm overqualified because I have a master's degree."
