CASEY Anthony was 'raised to lie' and 'lived in a fantasy world' her own lawyer admitted, but that did not mean she killed her daughter Caylee he said.
The one time party mom's lead attorney Jose Baez  said the whole family was full of liars and that she had been taught to lie from an early age.
He said:  "Lies are what lives within this family. Casey Anthony was raised that way. Raised to lie. Is it a surprise she lived in a fantasy world?"
The he continued to point the finger at her father for the murder of the tragic tot.
Yet again he asked the court, why he never told anyone about how he had buried the family pets - wrapped in blankets, covered in a plastic bag and wrapped with tape before being buried in the backyard.

Both Casey's mother Cindy and brother  Lee testified to this, but George said he couldn't remember when asked about it, reports WKMG.
Baez also claimed that George Anthony was suicidal because police began to investigate him more than one month after Caylee's remains were found, reports the station.
Holding up his suicide note, he claimed that   the note was self-serving, for George Anthony to protect himself.
He also pointed out  that none of the ten law enforcement officers called he managed to link the DNA on Caylee's body to the duct tape found on Caylee's mouth, saying it does not sound right that Casey Anthony was smart enough to outwit forensics experts, but dumb enough to leave her daughter's body 19 feet off a road.
The case was expected to wrap up last week, but Baez's lengthy closing arguments meant it will go into this week.

CASEY Anthony''s mom "lied on the stand" when she claimed it was here who had searched for 'chloroform' on the family's home computer, her former boss told the court yesterday. 
In potentially explosive testimony, Cindy Anthony had appeared to blow a huge hole into the prosecution's theory that Casey had planned to subdue her daughter, but had ended up killing her with the knockout drug. 
She told the court that she had snuck home from work and had been searching for Chlorophyll but had mistakenly ended up on websites for Chloroform.
She added t that 'neck breaking' had appeared on a pop up advert. 
But her argument, which prosecutor's claimed she had made up in a desperate bid to protect her daughter, was dramatically undermined when her former boss told the Florida court she was still at work when the searches were made.
A chief compliance officer for Mrs Anthony's old company today produced records which showed she was still logged into her work computer on the afternoons she claimed to be conducting the internet searches at home.

John Camperlengo, of Gentiva Health Services, produced computer records which revealed somebody had used Mrs Anthony's username and password to log in early every morning and log out at around 4 or 5pm every evening the week she claimed she searched for chloroform at home.
Prosecutors also called Mrs Anthony's supervisor, Deborah Polisano, to the stand, who testified that records show Mrs Anthony was at work for ten hours on March 17 and nine-and-a-half hours on March 21, at the same time the chloroform searches were carried out on her home computer.

It's thought the case may wrap up next week, after the prosecution has called their rebuttal witnesses.

RILEY Choate's DNA is being sought by prosecutor's working on the horrific murder of his 13-year-old son. Christian Choate's battered body was found in a shallow grave near his home on the Gary, IN, trailer park where he was allegedly kept in a dog cage and horribly abused by his father and stepmother Kimberly Kubina.
The tragic 13-year-old wrote "I want to die" in a diary, within weeks of his tragic life being cut short.
Now, Deputy Prosecutor Michael Wood is asking Criminal Court Judge Diane Boswell's permission to collect genetic material with a cotton swab from the mouth of 39-year-old Riley, who is pleading not guilty to murder.
Choate's defense attorney Randy Godshalk said: "I presume they are trying to establish a DNA match between Riley and Christian Choate. It's kind of a standard request."
He told the NWI Times  said state law gives him little leeway to oppose the DNA evidence collection from his client.
Choate is set to appear in court for a variety of pretrial motions, including a request by the prosecution for his handwriting sample and a defense motion for a independent autopsy to investigate the medical cause of the victim's death.
The coroner's office states Christian died in early 2009 of blunt force trauma and a skull fracture.
Godshalk is asking the court to dismiss the case against his client on grounds the charges are too vague regarding the time and other details of the boy's death.
Kubina Choate also is pleading not guilty.

CASEY ANTHONY 'TOO UNRELIABLE' FOR THE STAND

CASEY Anthony's defense lawyers spent hours deliberating whether to put her on the stand but ultimately decided against allowing her to testify because she was "to unreliable."
A insider close to the legal team, led by Jose Baez said they thought long and hard and spent hours training their client for  possible last minute testimony, they felt that she may jeopardize their case too much if allowed to speak.
When the defense announced that they were going to be resting their case without putting Casey on the stand Judge Belvin Perry took a moment to ask the Florida mother if it was her decision not to testify.
"It was," she said, adding that she has had time to discuss the matter with her attorneys.
The source revealed: "Ultimately they decided that Casey was too much of a liability to be allowed into the witness box. She was just too unreliable."
"They knew that given half a chance the prosecution would tear into her and under pressure she may well have cracked, causing immeasurable damage to their case."
Instead Baez called Cindy and George Anthony to the stand for a fourth time, this time to ask them about the family's pet burial traditions reports WKMG.
Both admitted they had in the past, buried pets after their deaths in plastic bags wrapped with duct tape.
Two-year-old Caylee's body was found in a similar fashion.

DEFENCE RESTS: CASEY ANTHONY DOESN'T TESTIFY

 UPDATE: The defense for Casey Anthony rested yesterday without calling Florida's best known Party Mom to testify. Asked by Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. if she was cool with it, she said: "Yes sir." Now, jurors will hear rebuttal witnesses.
Earlier, George Anthony's mistress Krystal Holloway told the court that Caylee Anthony's death was: "an accident that snowballed out of control. "an accident that snowballed out of control."

 EARLIER: Casey Anthony's distraught father George, tried to kill himself so he could "go and be with Caylee" the court heard
yesterday.

Bursting into tears he explained that he wrote a suicide note, called family members to "say goodbye for the last time" then took pills and alcohol.
But cops foiled his bid to end it all, rushing to his motel room after someone raised the alarm and took him to hospital where his stomach was pumped.
He told the rapt jury: "I just felt like it was the right time to go and be with Caylee. My emotional state even through today is it’s very hard to accept that I don’t have a grand-daughter.

"I just decided that was the time for me to get away from all this, to spend time with Caylee. I didn’t want to be in this world any more."
For the second time in the five week trial, he denied having sexually molested his daughter as a childand reacted furiously when defense attorney Jose Baez put it to him that he had attempted to kill himself, because of his guilt over his granddaughter Caylee's death.
They maintain that the toddler drowned in the swimming pool at the family home and was not suffocated by her mother, Casey.
Exploding, he said: "How dare you, sir, try to tell me I did something differently to what I did."
The move may have been the final straw for the defense team, who are expected to wrap up their case this week, although it is still not known whether they will call their client to the stand.
The trial continues.

CREEPY ANTHONY SOWELL: 'I GOT RID OF THEM'

CREEPY Anthony Sowell's admitted to butchering 11 women in two years, telling his girlfriend "I got rid of them," a court heard yesterday. Lori Frazier, who is the niece of Cleveland's mayor Frank Jackson, claimed she didn't believe the accused killer, dubbed 'creepy Tony' by neighborhood kids, despite the foul stench coming from his apartment and often seeing him covered in blood.
The former marine who allegedly lured his victims to his apartment with the promise of drugs before killing them.
Frazier, 31, who admitted to using drugs with the so called psychopath, added that once saw Sowell digging in his backyard, before testifying that she knew Crystal Dozier, one of the women found dead in his home.

Another time, she saw she saw blood on his carpet.
After her testimony, she told the First Post: "He came out from the penitentiary on June 23. Me and him hooked up on July 7, and I have been with him ever since.
"I want to know why, why would he do this. He took care of me."
But she also admitted that Sowell started acting "real nasty" after he started smoking crack and used to hit her.
Mayor Jackson, who denied having met the alleged serial killer told WOIO: "My niece would probably fit the same profile of many victims, so she is fortunate, very fortunate."

CASEY ANTHONY'S MOM MAKES STUNNING CONFESSION

"I SEARCHED FOR CHLOROFORM"

CASEY Anthony's mom threw her daughter a massive lifeline yesterday when she admitted that she was the one who searched for chloroform online - not her daughter.
Blowing a potentially huge hole in the prosecution's theory that Casey Anthony had searched Google for information on the knockout drug, Cindy Anthony claimed she had meant to search for "chlorophyll" in relation to a concern for her two dogs.
Open mouthed prosecutors looked on aghast as she told the court: "I was concerned about my smallest Yorkie. We have two Yorkie puppies. The smallest one was having some issues where she was extremely tired all the time. Both of the dogs would eat the bamboo leaves out the back.
"So I started looking up sources from the back yard that could cause her to be more sleepy, and I started with ‘chlorophyll’ and that prompted me to look up ‘chloroform'" 
She added that after a colleague had mentioned a health scare over hand sanitizers and their dangers to children she had also typed in search terms such as ‘hydrogen peroxide’ and ‘alcohol’ reports WKMG.
Finally Cindy said she did not search "neck-breaking" but she remembers a pop-up ad containing the word.
Her testimony left prosecutor's aghast, as it put pay to their theory that Casey Anthony had been plotting her daughter's murder in the months leading up to her death.
And they quickly challenged her pointing out that she had been at work at the time of some of the searches.
But Cindy countered that she had left early.
Visibly angry State attorney Diane Drane-Burdick asked her why she had only just brought up her claims three years on.

Cindy replied: "I did tell law enforcement. In fact, I told you during my deposition in 2009 that I made those searches."

Worse still for the prosecution who claimed a stain in the trunk of Casey' Pontiac Sunfire was as a result of Caylee's body being placed there, Cindy said it was there when she bought the car.  

CASEY ANTHONY'S FATHER GEORGE TO TESTIFY AGAIN

SEXUALLY ABUSED?

CASEY Anthony's lawyers are expected to call her father George to the stand again to answer charges that he sexually abused his daughter, when the trial resumes today.
The one time party mom's lead attorney Jose Baez claims their relationship was fraught with abuse, both emotional and sexual, which is why she concealed details of her daughter, Caylee's accidental drowning death.
The two-year-old body was found dumped in woodland near her Florida home. 
The case will likely get underway again today after Judge Belvin Perry called time on the trial early yesterday, scolding both legal teams for "gamesmanship."

He added that both legal teams were selectively interpreting his court orders and warned the lawyers that he won't stand for any of that anymore.

In open court, that if there is a pattern of intentional violations of his orders by the lawyers, and threatened to strike off witnesses if their gamesmanship continued, which in effect, would take the case back to square one.

So at 11am, with more than half the day remaining he sent them packing and ordered them back to the trial which will continue today. 

 

CASEY ANTHONY'S CAN OF DEATH JUST GARBAGE: EXPERT

CASEY ANTHONY'S car did not smell of a decomposing body but was in fact a bag of trash an expert testified yesterday.
Prosecuting lawyers had made legal history by admitting a smell taken from her car into evidence which as we reported here Dr Arpad Vass, a researcher at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory described as "shocking and definitely that of human remains.
Along with Anthony's mother Cindy and father George also agreed that her car had the stench of death in it.
But in testimony yesterday, entomologist Dr. Timothy Huntington  poo pooed the idea, claiming the smell was nothing more than garbage.

Based on research he'd conducted about what happened to decomposing pigs inside car trunks, reports  he said: "If we assume that a body was in the [Anthony] trunk, you expect to find many flies.
"I would expect to find hundreds, thousands of those dead insects as I did in the experiment. I didn't."

Instead, he said, his analysis was consistent with the smell coming from a bag of trash with trash-feeding insects in it.

HEART SHAPED STICKER ON CAYLEE ANTHONY'S MOUTH

CASEY Anthony may have put a heart shaped sticker onto her two-year-old daughter's mouth before sealing it with duct tape and FBI forensic expert testified yesterday. 
Elizabeth Fontaine told told the court that the outline was clearly visible on the tot because the glue residue had left it there. 
She said: "If you were to wear a Band Aid for an extended period of time and you remove that Band Aid, you have the glue residue outlining the surface.
"The outline of the heart resembled that…Instead of being in the shape of a Band Aid, it was in the shape of a heart." 
Prosecutors allege similar shaped stickers were found in Anthony's home by investigators and a photograph of a sheet of heart stickers found in the 25-year-old's house has been admitted as evidence.
Fontaine, a forensic examiner in the FBI’s Latent Print Unit, told the court today they were unable to find any fingerprints on the three stretches of tape, each measuring between six and eight inches long, because Caylee’s remains were in a swampy area prone to flooding.
But the heart shaped piece had shown up under a special lighting tool known as RUVIS – Reflected Ultra-Violet Imaging System.
Prosecutors expect to wrap up their evidence this Wednesday, handing the case over to the defence, when the trial continues.

MEDICAL EXAMINER: CAYLEE ANTHONY 'WAS HOMICIDE'

TRAGIC tot Caylee Anthony was definitely murdered, but it is impossible to say how Orange County's Chief Medical Examiner told the court in party mom Casey Anthony's murder trial.   
Dr. Jan Garavaglia told the rapt jury she had concluded that the two-year-old's death was a homicide because of three factors.
First, Caylee was not reported missing because she thought an accidental death, such as drowning, would have been reported.
Second, the fact that  Caylee's body was hidden, and finally, the presence of duct tape on Caylee's face led her to believe the tot was definitely murdered, but she could not say how the tot had died.
She said: "It's very difficult, when the body is that decomposed, to say why they died," she said, reports the station."
She added there was no noticeable trauma to Caylee's bones, but it is impossible to know if there was trauma to her tissue.
The trial continues.

CASEY Anthony was removed from the courtroom yesterday after she became weak and appeared to be taken ill after graphic pictures of her dead daughter's skull were shown yesterday.
Dabbing her eyes, the one time party mom began to rock back and forth, breathe deeply and hold her head in the palm of her hand as the gory images were shown to the court.
Reviewing the photographs  Dr. Gary Utz of the Orange/Oseola county Medical Examiner's Office
testified that tape could be seen sitting on her two-year-old daughter Caylee's nose and mouth area of the skull.
He added that it was "lightly adhered" to the jaw bone, reports WKMD.
In the images their were plant roots growing in the mat of hair on the skull, and the consistency of the hair mat and roots helped keep the jaw bone, which normally detaches, attached to the skull.
The graphic pictures were apparently too much for Anthony who had to be escorted out of the courtroom by a deputy.
She was brought back in several minutes later.
Judge Belvin Perry had earlier warned the courtroom earlier in the day that graphic images of Caylee's remains would be shown advising anyone who might get queasy to leave during a short recess before prosecutors called a crime scene investigator to the stand.
Casey Anthony's parents, George and Cindy, decided to leave the courtroom at that time.
The trial continues.

CASEY ANTHONY SEARCHED ONLINE FOR CHLOROFORM

CASEY Anthony search online for knock out drug chloroform, two months before her two-year-old daughter Caylee went missing, a rapt Florida courtroom heard yesterday.   
The head of computer crimes at the Orange County Sheriff's Department testified that someone specifically searched the Anthony family computer for the words "chloroform," "alcohol," "inhalation," "death," "self-defense" and "head injury" within 15 minutes. Sgt Kevin Stenger also said someone also searched the term "neck breaking," "making weapons" and "how to make chloraform (sic)," using Google four days after the first search for chloroform in March

2008.

He added that it was clear that someone had tried to delete the searches manually but he'd found them  
in the computer's unallocated space, which means it is not filed in the normal system, but still exists on the hard drive.
However it was not possible to tell under which username, reports WKMG.
Earlier this week, a forensics expert testified that the chloroform level in an air sample from Anthony's car was "shockingly high."
On Tuesday, an FBI chemist testified that traces of chloroform residue were found in the trunk, and although the levels were not high, he was surprised to find any trace of the chemical at all in the trunk.
Caylee's skeletal remains were found in the woods near the Anthony family home in December 2008. Anthony has pleaded not guilty to the murder and the defense claims Caylee accidentally drowned in the family's swimming pool.
The trial continues.

EXPERT: CASEY ANTHONY'S CAR SMELL 'SHOCKING'

CASEY Anthony's car smelled "extremely, overwhelming strong" of human decomposition a forensic expert testified yesterday. Dr Arpad Vass, a researcher at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, also known as the "body farm" for its study of human decomposition called the smell "shocking" at the trial yesterday. Prosecutor's allege that smell came from Casey two-year-old daughter, Caylee, who they claim was murdered by her mother. 
He said: "I jumped back a foot or two. It was shocking that strong of an odor could be in that little can."

He added that the odor of human decomposition is different than the smell of animal decomposition,  which he was able to tell thanks to a pioneering technique for detecting human decomposition from air sample they developed at the laboratory. Vass presented charts showing high levels of certain compounds in samples taken from Anthony's car. One of the compounds present, chloroform, Vass said was found in "shockingly high" amounts on a sample taken from a stained portion of carpet in Anthony's trunk reports WKMG.
Chloroform is a chemical associated with decomposition but also can be used to render a person unconscious.
Anthony's defense attorney Jose Baez questioned Vass' methodology and claimed he had a financial interest in the research he is presenting. 
Until now, the tests had never been admitted in a trial in the United States.

TYLAR WITT: 'I HAVE MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES'

TERRIBLE teen Tylar Witt told the court she had multiple personalities, during her ex-boyfriend's murder trial yesterday. 
Steven Colver stands accused of brutally slashing and stabbing her mother Joanne, 47 at least 20 times after she handed Witt's diary containing explicit sexual details of their relationship to cops. 
Colver, who at the time of the murder was 19 was sleeping with 14-year-old Witt when the pair hatched the plot to kill her, so they could carry on their relationship without interference.
He denies playing any part in the murder and instead his defense
lawyers are claiming that Witt was solely responsible for the brutal slaying. 
The troubled teen has already pleaded guilty to second degree murder for her part in the murder.
Defense attorney Dain Weiner blamed Witt's psychological state, suggesting her hatred may have sparked the crime and Witt admitted she had three personalities, Tylar, the 14-year-old girl, "Alex," her inner angel, and "Toby," a demon from hell.
"Three souls crowded in one body," she told him.
She later admitted: "I think I've only been able to cry about it, like full-blown bawling, like three or four times."
She also testified that the pair had talked about killing themselves, before ultimately deciding to murder her mother with a butchers knife.  
She said: "We had talked about the Romeo and Juliet scenario. He had said it would only be the last resort. I said it was the last resort."
Colver faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted of first degree murder.

CASEY ANTHONY TELLS BROTHER: "I'M A SPITEFUL BITCH"

CASEY Anthony told her brother: "Because maybe I'm a spiteful bitch" when he grilled her about why no one had seen her daughter Caylee for 31 days, he told the court yesterday. 
According to her brother Lee, the party mom was "combative" when asked why she would not show them tiny Caylee to prove she was safe on July 15, 2008.
Even her own defense team have conceded that the little girl was long dead by then.  But at the time Anthony, now 25, who faces the death penalty if convicted, claimed that she had received a telephone call from the little girl, the court in
Orlando, Florida heard.

Between the dates June 16 to July 15 Anthony told her mother Cindy during numerous telephone conversations that Caylee was either staying with a nanny, was with friends, or was away with her on a business trip.
After her mother called the police she changed her story however and told her brother as they waited for officers to arrive at the family home that Caylee was actually missing.He told the packed Florida, courtroom: "In my mind there was no excuse why nobody could go and get Caylee. At one point she was actually receptive to it but for the most part it was: 'I don’t want to disturb her.'
"Nothing was making sense to me. Why couldn’t we have anybody just go get Caylee and bring her home?" 
He claimed that when he asked his sister again "Why can’t we see Caylee?" she said: "Because maybe I’m a spiteful bitch."
Reminding her the police were on their way, she changed her story saying: "She had been kidnapped and that the nanny took her."

Caylee’s decomposed remains were later found in a swamp in December 2008, close to the house where she lived with her mother and grandparents.

Prosecutors maintain she was killed by her mother, who suffocated her by putting duct tape over her mouth, while Anthony's lawyers maintain her father buried the child after she accidentally drowned in their pool. 

Anthony has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.  Her trial continues.

CASEY ANTHONY TRIAL CLAIM: CAYLEE DROWNED IN POOL

PARTY-mom Casey Anthony's lawyers opened their case with the bombshell claim that her daughter Caylee drowned in a swimming pool and her grandfather covered it up. 
Her attorney, Jose Baez claimed Caylee's grandmother Cindy forgot to pull up a ladder that prevented the toddler from climbing into the pool on her own and the toddler slipped in when no one was looking. The distraught family panicked and didn't call police, he said.

He added: "That's what she's guilty of, she's not guilty of murder. This is not a murder case."
Prosecutors were quick to dismiss the claims putting forward their own theory that the toddler died from three pieces of duct tape being placed over her mouth and nose.

They also described Internet searches done on a computer at Casey's home that showed queries for chloroform, neck-breaking and alcohol.

Prosecutors said everything Casey Anthony did was based on a web of lies and that the evidence points to her as the killer.
Linda Drane Burdick said: "Casey Anthony ... appeared to be ... a loving mother, trying to provide support for her daughter. But as the evidence in this case will show, that was an illusion."
Anthony who faces the death penalty if convicted denies murder.

CASEY ANTHONY JURORS COULD SNIFF 'CAN OF DEATH'

A CAN of death containing the odor of the decomposed remains of her daughter Caylee could be smelled by jurors in Casey Anthony's murder trial.
Hoping to use a novel forensics tests of air from her car, which Anthony's mother Cindy described as "smelling like death" in her 911 call to the cops, prosecutors asked jurors if they had any qualms about viewing images of the child's remains or smelling evidence. But Judge Belvin Perry  might quash their ambitious move. 
He told WKMG:  "I wouldn't be counting too much on it though I am
willing to be persuaded."
He also said he feared any conviction would be reversed on appeal if he let the jury smell the contents of the can, which contains a piece of trunk liner from Casey Anthony's car and banned them from asking jurors about the smell.
The state is now seeking a legal precedent to persuade the Pinellas based judge who is selecting his jury   in the Tampa area because of intense media coverage in Orlando where the alleged murder of 2-year old Caylee occurred.
Anthony, 25, who was told by her lawyer to stop acting the same age as her murdered daughter last week, could face the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder in her daughter's 2008 death.
She has pleaded not guilty and maintains a babysitter kidnapped Caylee.
