PARTY MOM Casey Anthony was nowhere to be seen on what would have been her daughter Caylee's sixth birthday. 
In a rare public appearance the girl's grandparents George and Cindy gathered with more than 100 members of the public near the wooded spot where the tot was found. 
Wearing t-shirts featuring a photo of the youngster surrounded by the words "You will always remain in our hearts" they led a walk and were met with a surprisingly positive response from the public. 
George told The Orlando Sentinel: "This is the first time I've been here in so long. It's hard to come here."
He did not say whether he had seen or spoken his daughter since her controversial acquittal for Caylee's murder. 
Many were amazed to see the couple who gave conflicting testimony at the high profile murder case of their daughter. 
Cindy in particular claimed that she had mistakenly number searched the internet for chloroform and neck breaking on the family computer. 
But later her boss testified and computer records showed that she had been at work at the time. 
But the reaction from the crowd was generally warm towards them, especially after they joined in with the Happy Birthday song.
"I am glad because it seems like they're getting a little bit of closure with the crying and different things and I think that's really, really good for them," Lori Richards told the newspaper.
There was no sign of Casey who was last seen in Ohio as we reported here.
There are plans to build a memorial for the tot at the site, centering on a reflecting pond with a glass ring — intended to provide the effect of a floating halo — hanging above it.
There would also be a walkway, walled with cubby holes for visitors to leave stuffed animals, flowers and other mementos.
The project, set to be designed by artist Jefre, would also incorporate elements of A. A. Milne Winnie-the-Pooh books, and would feature cubby holes along a path for visitors to leave stuffed animals and other items that could in turn be given to children's charities
The nonprofit hopes to raise $200,000 in donations and the memorial would need county approval.
The Anthonys said they hadn't seen the memorial design before, but that they'd support it if it were done tastefully. The event was concluded with a moment of silence and a prayer for missing children.

CASEY Anthony was 'raised to lie' and 'lived in a fantasy world' her own lawyer admitted, but that did not mean she killed her daughter Caylee he said.
The one time party mom's lead attorney Jose Baez  said the whole family was full of liars and that she had been taught to lie from an early age.
He said:  "Lies are what lives within this family. Casey Anthony was raised that way. Raised to lie. Is it a surprise she lived in a fantasy world?"
The he continued to point the finger at her father for the murder of the tragic tot.
Yet again he asked the court, why he never told anyone about how he had buried the family pets - wrapped in blankets, covered in a plastic bag and wrapped with tape before being buried in the backyard.

Both Casey's mother Cindy and brother  Lee testified to this, but George said he couldn't remember when asked about it, reports WKMG.
Baez also claimed that George Anthony was suicidal because police began to investigate him more than one month after Caylee's remains were found, reports the station.
Holding up his suicide note, he claimed that   the note was self-serving, for George Anthony to protect himself.
He also pointed out  that none of the ten law enforcement officers called he managed to link the DNA on Caylee's body to the duct tape found on Caylee's mouth, saying it does not sound right that Casey Anthony was smart enough to outwit forensics experts, but dumb enough to leave her daughter's body 19 feet off a road.
The case was expected to wrap up last week, but Baez's lengthy closing arguments meant it will go into this week.

DEFENCE RESTS: CASEY ANTHONY DOESN'T TESTIFY

 UPDATE: The defense for Casey Anthony rested yesterday without calling Florida's best known Party Mom to testify. Asked by Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. if she was cool with it, she said: "Yes sir." Now, jurors will hear rebuttal witnesses.
Earlier, George Anthony's mistress Krystal Holloway told the court that Caylee Anthony's death was: "an accident that snowballed out of control. "an accident that snowballed out of control."

 EARLIER: Casey Anthony's distraught father George, tried to kill himself so he could "go and be with Caylee" the court heard
yesterday.

Bursting into tears he explained that he wrote a suicide note, called family members to "say goodbye for the last time" then took pills and alcohol.
But cops foiled his bid to end it all, rushing to his motel room after someone raised the alarm and took him to hospital where his stomach was pumped.
He told the rapt jury: "I just felt like it was the right time to go and be with Caylee. My emotional state even through today is it’s very hard to accept that I don’t have a grand-daughter.

"I just decided that was the time for me to get away from all this, to spend time with Caylee. I didn’t want to be in this world any more."
For the second time in the five week trial, he denied having sexually molested his daughter as a childand reacted furiously when defense attorney Jose Baez put it to him that he had attempted to kill himself, because of his guilt over his granddaughter Caylee's death.
They maintain that the toddler drowned in the swimming pool at the family home and was not suffocated by her mother, Casey.
Exploding, he said: "How dare you, sir, try to tell me I did something differently to what I did."
The move may have been the final straw for the defense team, who are expected to wrap up their case this week, although it is still not known whether they will call their client to the stand.
The trial continues.

CASEY ANTHONY'S BROTHER 'GROPED HER'

CASEY Anthony's brother Lee tried to 'feel her up' and groped her while she slept, her former fiance told the court yesterday.
Jesse Grund, who was formerly engaged to the one time party mom testified that she also wanted to keep her daughter Caylee away from her uncle. He added that during their time together Lee Anthony was "standoffish" and "sullen" around him.
Asked about the incestuous situation Grund said: "She told me that at one point in recent years that she woke up one night with Lee standing up over her."

But he added that he hadn't asked her to go into detail and had instead trusted the woman he had at one point thought would be his bride.
He explained: "Anything that Casey said I took as truth and fact...I didn't want to have anything to do with him."
Grund, who did not say why the couple split up also said that at one point Casey told him, he was the father of her tragic tot Caylee, who's decomposed body was found near her Florida home.
But a 2005 paternity test, showed he wasn't in fact her dad and since then Casey has refused to say who the daddy was.
Another former boyfriend of Casey Anthony, Tony Lazzaro, previously testified that the Florida woman said her father was physically abusive and that Lee Anthony had tried to "feel her up" but didn't succeed.
But both men, were only seen by Judge Belvin Perry and not the jury

CASEY ANTHONY'S FATHER GEORGE TO TESTIFY AGAIN

SEXUALLY ABUSED?

CASEY Anthony's lawyers are expected to call her father George to the stand again to answer charges that he sexually abused his daughter, when the trial resumes today.
The one time party mom's lead attorney Jose Baez claims their relationship was fraught with abuse, both emotional and sexual, which is why she concealed details of her daughter, Caylee's accidental drowning death.
The two-year-old body was found dumped in woodland near her Florida home. 
The case will likely get underway again today after Judge Belvin Perry called time on the trial early yesterday, scolding both legal teams for "gamesmanship."

He added that both legal teams were selectively interpreting his court orders and warned the lawyers that he won't stand for any of that anymore.

In open court, that if there is a pattern of intentional violations of his orders by the lawyers, and threatened to strike off witnesses if their gamesmanship continued, which in effect, would take the case back to square one.

So at 11am, with more than half the day remaining he sent them packing and ordered them back to the trial which will continue today.

WHO'S THE DADDY?

CASEY Anthony's lawyer sensationally claimed that both her dad or brother could have fathered of her daughter Caylee. 
In the explosive start to their defense case lead defense lawyer Jose Baez suggested either her grandfather George or uncle Lee could have been Caylee's dad. 
On the third anniversary of the tragic toddler's disappearance, he asked FBI analyst Heather Seubert if she had conducted a paternity test on Lee.   Furious prosecutor's immediately objected and Judge Belvin Perry quickly sent jurors to lunch. 
He told Baez: "You are not to ask questions that will lead to an inference. I'm not even going to venture a guess as to your motivation."
But according to ABC Seubert revealed today that both of the men had been tested by the FBI and that both men had in fact, been excluded, although when the jury returned they heard that Lee Anthony's test came back negative.
But he did not ask the witness about the testing of George Anthony, leaving jurors in the dark as to the fact that George Anthony was in fact tested and excluded from being Caylee's father.
Astonishingly Seubert contradicted prosecution witnesses, testifying that pieces of Anthony's car did not test positive for blood and neither did any of her clothes.
Seubert also said that the "possible presence of blood" was detected on the Winnie the Pooh blanket and tattered shirt found with Caylee's remains, but there was not enough to be able to be certain.
The trial continues.
