GENIUS/MADNESS |
Honor student Rachel Hachero pistol whipped her mother then threatened to kill her in order to get a sports car, Cops say.
Last Thursday she called her mom Linda from a car dealership and asked her to co-sign for the vehicle. When she refused, Rachel's big brain quite simply couldn't cope, so she went back to their Fort Myers FLA home with a 9mm.
After pistol whipping her mom, she pointed it at her head and told her that they were going to the dealership, demanding that her mother sign for the car, Lee County Sheriff's report. So the pair went back to Sutherlin Nissan, where, with little choice in the matter, Linda signed for the 2004 black Nissan 350Z.
Although she called the deputies the next day Linda told them that she didn't
want to prosecute her daughter because she is an honors student who has scholarships to several Ivy League colleges.
But despite her mother's compassion Rachel could well faces charges of aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, one count of battery touch or strike and possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18.
The gun's also serial number revealed it was stolen from a Lee County Port Authority Law Enforcement officer in early July 2010.
