MISSING Indiana University co-ed Lauren Spierer's family have tweeted a chilling message to her kidnapper: "Everywhere you go, for the rest of your life, it will follow you. In your happiest moments, it will haunt you. Do the right thing. 800-CRIME-TV." The pretty blonde from posh Westchester, New
York vanished off the streets in Bloomington on June 3 after a heavy night of partying. Video has revealed that she was wrecked and could barely stand up. A pal said HE was wrecked and she helped him home. Lauren's parents and cops are frustrated that her friends are not being exactly forthcoming about her movements on June 3. Extensive searches have failed to turn up any indication of what may have happened. However, detectives are looking at links between her disappearance and the attempted strangulation of another woman near where the 20-year-old lived.

LAUREN SPIERER'S MOM MAKES HEARTBREAKING PLEA

ON JUNE 3, pretty blonde New York co-ed Lauren Spierer, 20, disappeared after a night of heavy partying in Bloomington, Indiana where she attended university. She has not been seen since and numerous searches have turned up little evidence. Her parents have been on the ground since Day 1. Here is her mom Charlene's open letter:

Our daughter, Lauren, disappeared on June 3, 2011. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared. I truly hope as a parent, you never get that phone call. The feeling is indescribable. Weeks later, the feeling is the same. It's as if our lives before June 3rd never happened. We are suspended in time. I cannot imagine doing anything other than searching for Lauren until the time we find her and can take her home with us. Some days are paralyzing. As you wake every morning, the nightmare begins again. You cannot give in. You cannot give up hope. Every day you think this could be the day and every day I believe that with all my heart.
Lauren is so much more than a face on a poster. She is Rebecca's sister. She has grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is our daughter. Lauren has friends she adores. Friends she would go the extra mile for. Everyday something reminds me of her. It might be something as small as seeing a sunflower, hearing a song or noticing something I'd love to tell Lauren about. My heart is breaking.
Over the last several weeks, I've learned a new language no one should ever have to learn. I now know what things like PLS, POI, recon, ATV and vetting all mean. The word "transition" is another way of letting me know a change is about to happen that I might not be happy about. I've learned to speak while looking into a camera instead of a person's eyes. I've learned that social media is a way to reach a great deal of people in a very short time. I constantly read blogs, check Twitter and Facebook. I've learned what it takes to update a website with the latest information about my dear sweet girl. I've learned how to suppress my pain. I've learned how to keep thoughts of Lauren before June 3 at bay because when they come to the surface it is almost too painful to endure. I've learned that you never run out of tears. They are always there, always on the surface, a constant reminder of the ache in my heart. I've learned that the world is comprised of many wonderful, kind people. Just waiting to help Rob, Rebecca and me in any way they can.
But outside all that goodness, I've learned there lurks an evil, a cruel, heartless element that cares more about themselves than the life of my daughter. That this element of humanity exists in the world is beyond comprehension. Your silence is deafening. Your lack of compassion is irreprehensible. Your lack of respect for another human being which allows you to go day, by day, watching is unimaginable. Everyone is put on this earth for a purpose. Everyone has a defining moment. In the blink of an eye Lauren disappeared. Do not let this be your defining moment. You have no idea what you have taken from us.
My promise to you, we will not rest until we find Lauren. What are you waiting for? You can still do the right thing.

HOLLY BOBO, LAUREN SPIERER: CHILLING SIMILARITIES

TWO STUDENTS. Two blondes. Both petite. Both 20-years-old. Two young women in the prime of their lives. Two victims? The disappearance of Indiana University student Lauren Spierer on June 3 has chilling similarities to the mysterious April kidnapping of Tennessee nursing student Holly Bobo. They look eerily the same and it is raising frightening questions.
Lauren's mom Charlene said: "I can't even tell you what it's like to get that phone call that your daughter is missing." Holly's mom
Karen adds: "I think of her. I love her."
Despite intense efforts in Tennessee and Indiana for the recovery of both young women, cops appear to have hit brick walls despite hundreds of man hours and  hundreds of volunteer searchers. There has been no arrest in either case, although persons of interest have been questioned.
The similarities between the two are so great that many have mistaken the photo of Bobo for Spierer and vice versa. More frightening: it's not just these two women, other students missing around the country fit the same description.
Information leading to the discovery of Spierer, the daughter of a prominent New York family, could bring a $100,000 reward. Bobo's cousin is country singer Whitney Duncan. There is an $85,000 reward offered in her case.

LAUREN SPIERER PAL NOT TALKING TO DETECTIVES

SHHH. That's the tact being taken by a "person of interest" in the sensational Lauren Spierer missing person case. Jason 'Jay' Rosenbaum who told cops he last saw the pretty blonde walking alone and barefoot to her Bloomington, Indiana apartment on June 3 has now clammed up.
He is the last person known to have seen the 20-year-old co-ed from New York, who had spent the evening partying hard with pals. And there has also been some suggestion the petite fashion merchandising student may have been hammering cocaine, OD'd and panicked pals hid her body.
A police source said:"It's very disappointing we have this life and death investigation and this guy isn't saying a thing."
Rosenbaum, 21, along with Lauren's boyfreind. Jesse Wolff, are
described by detectives as "persons of interest." Rosenbaum has already hired a high-powered defence attorney and left Bloomington.

But his lawyer scoffed that he wasn't cooperating: "He has provided full statements to the police and passed a polygraph that has also been provided to the authorities. Mr. Rosenbaum hopes for nothing less than Lauren to be found and to be safe."
Lauren's mom , Charlene Spierer, sobbed last week the family is frustrated and angry by the lack of help from the young woman's friends.
 She said: "What I can tell you is that I am extremely disappointed by the fact that only one of Lauren's friends have called the Bloomington Police Department with any information."

HMMM. What to make of this? The young man who was partying with Lauren Spierer before she disappeared Friday says he has no memory of their last moments. Why? His mouthpiece says Corey Rossman got punched in the face after the twosome returned to Lauren's apartment complex.Carl Salzmann said: "At Smallwood, someone confronted them. He got punched in the face. He has no memory of that, or of the 15 minutes leading to that moment. The first memory he has is the next morning when he wakes up in his bed."
Salzmann says his story is backed. The pair were hammering it up at a nearby bar and later seen on videotape returning to her residence about 2:30 a.m. Friday, before leaving 10 minutes later.

So far, Bloomington, Indiana cops have turned up little on Westchester, New York native but video footage from security cameras at Lauren Spierer's apartment building, which took police four days to obtain, show her and several men in an argument that morning. Salzmann added that the petite blonde was seen by three or four others after Rossman.  Authorities extended their search for Spierer Wednesday, looking beyond Bloomington city limits for clues. Her parents have offered a $100,000 for her safe return.

Cops in Indiana fear a New York co-ed may have met with foul play after she vanished Friday after a night of partying at a Midwest bar. Lauren Spierer, 20, a pretty blonde sophomore at Indiana University was last spotted in bare feet walking home alone in Bloomington.
Her dad Robert told the New York Post: "It's every parent's nightmare." Surveillance video from her apartment complex reveals she never made it home and her keys were discovered a block away from where she was last seen. Investigators are now scouring nearby woods, dumpsters and back alleys for any sign of the petite student--who stands just 4'11" and weighs a mere 100 lbs. Her wealthy parentshave flown to Indiana to help with the search say she has a heart defect and requires meds.

Childhood pal Rebecca Lefkowitz said Lauren is cautious: "She's brilliant. She would never put herself in a dangerous situation. We're all hoping and praying. We know she'll come home, and we won't leave any stone unturned in trying to find her"

But Police Lt. Bill Parker was gloomy: "We certainly think there could be foul play."

RILEY CHOATE, EX-WIFE CHARGED IN TORTURE MURDER

MEET Mr. and Mrs. Monster. Riley Lowell Choate, 39, and Kimberly Leona Kubina, 45, are just about the biggest dirtbags you can find in these 50 states. Choate and Kubina for nearly three years kept his son Christian, 13, naked and locked in a dog cage or chained to a bed. If he made a peep he would be pummeled relentlessly. His body was found buried in a shallow grave under a concrete slab near where he once lived in northern Indiana. His short, horrific life mercifully over. And on Tuesday, his father and stepmother were charged with murder and a litany of other offences.

The boy's mom who hadn't seen him in years tipped cops off he might be dead.
Witnesses told detectives that Choate would slap Christian in the face after family members alleged Christian had molested a male relative. The beatings, which were witnessed by other children, grew more severe as Choate and his now ex-wife argued and Choate took it out on Christian, court records state.

Kubina told Christian's siblings: “He needs to be locked up. He’s a dog.”

Some of the beatings were taped; his hands began to turn purple from being tied to the bed; he refused to eat the day before he died and then his father beat him.

After Christian died, wicked stepmother Kubina told the kids he had run away. However, according to the Chicago Sun-Times a witness said Kubina asked Choate if he thought they would get caught. 

As he played racing games on his computer, Riley Choate said: “What are you talking about?”

RILEY CHOATE BURIED SON, 13, UNDER CONCRETE SLAB

MEET RILEY Choate. Monster. Cops in Gary, Indiana discovered the badly decomposed body of 13-year-old boy behind an area trailer park. The body belonged to Christian Choate who went missing two years ago and an autopsy revealed the boy had blunt force trauma, internal bleeding and a skull fracture. Now, they have charged Riley Choate, 39, with a number of offences, although we hasten to add not murder--yet.
Sheriff John Buncich said: "He thus far confessed to removing the body from one trailer, taking it across
the street and burying the body. Wrapped him in a blanket in plastic and buried him in a shallow grave underneath the shed and then put concrete on top of the body. He also indicated at the time that he put a Bible on the boy's chest."
Cops say the boy's mom lost custody of Christian and his sister and had not seen them in six years. But someone in Kentucky gave her the heads up and she called 911 Sunday.
His sister Alyssa Nieto said: "I don't know what kind of man this is that would do something like this to my brother."
