DEATH FOR SERIAL KILLER CREEPY ANTHONY SOWELL

"CREEPY"
SERIAL killer creepy Anthony Sowell should be sentenced to death for the vicious rapes and murders of 11 women, a jury has decided.
The twisted former marine lured his victims to his Cleveland OH, apartment promising booze and crack cocaine, but after smoking the drug himself, he turned, violently raping and beating them before strangling them to death.
Then he buried them in his garden, but he soon ran out of room, so instead of disposing of them elsewhere, he just kept the body parts in his condo, wrapped in plastic sheets or dumped in garbage bags.
The 52-year-old didn't testify during his trial and barely offered any explanation when quizzed by cops, other than he told them he got angry if his victims told him they had children.
He said: “One thing that always made me mad was they had kids. That’s a big thing in my head.”
Jurors deliberated a total of seven hours before reaching a decision, although the final sentence will be up to Judge Dick Ambrose, who can reduce a death penalty sentence to life without chance of parole.
That will be done at a later date.
Sowell was convicted of 82 counts, including aggravated murder, rape, attempted murder and kidnapping, for the 11 murders and attacks on three women who survived.

SERIAL KILLER CREEPY ANTHONY SOWELL: 'I'M SORRY'

CREEPY TONY
TALK about too little, too late.
In a last desperate bid to avoid the death penalty, convicted serial killer, creepy Anthony Sowell told the court: "I'm sorry."
The 51-year-old was found guilty of luring 11 women to his Cleveland, OH apartment often with the promise of booze or crack cocaine.
But after smoking the drug he turned, repeatedly raping them and beating them to death.
When he ran out of the room to bury the body's in his back garden, he kept them lying around his apartment, causing an almighty stink in the neighborhood.
After refusing to testify during the case itself, Sowell has finally decided to speak in a bid to save himself from the death penalty.
In his first public comments since his arrest over two years ago, he told the court, which was packed with relatives of the victims: "I'm sorry."
And then with possibly the understatement of the year: "I know that might not sound like a lot."
The prosecution wasn't allowed to cross-examine Sowell, which left the question unanswered as to why he killed the victims and attacked three other women who survived and testified against him.
But guided by his defense attorney John Parker, he answered questions about his troubled childhood, WOIO reports.
He told the court his mother abused him as a child, beating him with an extension cord, adding that he had ended up joining the Marines because he heard they were tougher than the Army, and he had something to prove to his mother.
Sowell also described mood swings and hearing a voice, one he calls Arnie.
He completed his statement with his apology.

SERIAL KILLER ANTHONY SOWELL GUILTY OF 11 MURDERS

DEATH
CREEPY Anthony Sowell is the serial killer we all knew he was, a jury ruled yesterday.
The twisted former marine lured 11 women to his grotty apartment in his drug ridden Cleveland neighborhood with the promise of booze or crack cocaine.
Then he stuck, brutally beating them or throttling them to death, in a vicious crack cocaine fueled rage.
Calling no witnesses, he barely offered any explanation for his brutality, other than the nightmares brought on by the deadly drug -all of which involved him hurting women.
When he woke up they were gone.
He will now face the death penalty for the slayings after being convicted of multiple counts of aggravated murder and a number of other offenses.
Interviewed by cops he told them: "Reminded me of my girl, that’s the best I can tell you. It was like everything’s cool, she was spending the night or something."
But when he woke up he thought: "'Damn, where’d you go?’”
He also told detectives Sowell when if the women told him they had children at home while they were smoking crack.
He said: “One thing that always made me mad was they had kids. That’s a big thing in my head.”
Prosecutors say Sowell began running out of room in his backyard after he buried the bodies of four women there.
That’s when he began leaving them to rot on the third floor of his home.
"I'm glad justice has been done," said Audrey Webb, sister of victim Janice Webb told the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"I'm glad it's over and he is getting what he deserves."

CREEPY ANTHONY SOWELL KEPT HEADLESS BODY: VICTIM

CREEPY TONY
CREEPY Anthony Sowell kept the bloody decapitated corpse of one of his victims in his apartment, a court heard yesterday.
Vanessa Gay told the court that the accused serial killer dubbed "creepy Tony" had invited her round to his apartment to "celebrate his birthday" by drinking and smoking crack cocaine.
But almost immediately after she walked in she got a bad feeling.
She said: "If you've ever seen Silence of the Lambs the eeriness, it was that atmosphere, but it was too late to turn back. It was just dark and gloomy, you could feel the gloom."
But almost as soon as he took a hit from the crack pipe, Sowell turned into a monster, forcing himself on her and raping her repeatedly throughout the night.
She explained: "He told me nobody would hear me, nobody would hear me scream, nobody would hear me scream."
At one point, Gay who confessed to using drugs with Sowell, but said she had been clean for some time, told the court that she was walking down the hall when she passed a room that had plastic hanging from the ceiling to the floor.
She said: "The plastic was pulled up. And I saw something on the floor. It looked like it was a body. And it had no head on it."
Struggling to speak she added that the body was: "propped up sitting on the floor and it was taped up.
"I kept thinking to myself, I couldn't have seen what I saw," she said. "This is not possible, this is not real."
The next morning Sowell said if she called the police he'd kill her, but she rang them anyway and was told she needed to go to the police station to file a report. She says she was too injured to go.
She eventually reported what happened to her in 2009 after the bodies were found in the house.
Gay says she dreaded testifying but had to for the victims who did not survive.
She told FOX8: "I'm their voice," she said.
"Life is beautiful. I never want to take it for granted again, because it's a blessing."
