MANSION |
Cops are baffled by the bizarre discovery of Ronald Vinci's body at the 7000, square foot Fort Lauderdale house which was vacant for years until he paid almost $3million for just a couple of weeks ago.
Detective Kathy Collins said "At this time we don't really know what transpired. It is a suspicious death."
Neighbors told WFOR the mansion sat vacant for years, until two weeks ago when Vinci who made a fortune in Honda car dealerships and real estate in Southern California paid $2.9 million for the property.
His long-time lawyer Michael Vivoli told the station Vinci was a self-made man who moved to San Diego in the late 1960s with $1,500.
From that, he owned one of the first Honda dealerships in California.
He said: "He was a man of his word. He was a man of integrity. He was a guy that if he told you he was going to do something, he would do it."
