DAYS BEFORE Memphis Police officer Timothy Warren was viciously gunned down and killed in a downtown hotel, he feared he would die. According to the MEMPHIS COMMERCIAL-APPEAL the veteran cop told his wife Betsy:"I have a feeling something really big is going to happen. It's going to happen Downtown. It's going to happen really fast. Betsy, I have a feeling I'm going to be right in the middle of it. It might
cost me my life."
Betsy told the paper she tried to calm him: "Surely not. God has other plans for you."
On Monday, cops stormed the DoubeTree Hotel in downtown Memphis and Warren was shot in the head while responding to a domestic dispute. Besides his wife Betsy, he leaves his son James, 8, and daughter Jewel, 4.
Betsy added: "Now I realize God did have other plans. He wanted him in heaven."
MEANWHILE, cops say Alexander Haydel, 22, is in jail on charges of first-degree murder. The incident began when a couple from Cleveland, Mississippi got into an argument at the hotel. The woman's ex-hubby apparently intervened. Arthur Warren, 49, (not relation) was shot and killed after Haydel went to his car and got a gun.
