MOBSTER BUSTED IN SPILLED DRINK COLD CASE SLAY
A JANUARY mob crackdown snared more than 127 hoods. But it also may go a long way to solving the slaying of a Queens bartender 30 years ago. Gambino capo Bartolemeo Vernace was charged with killing two men "over a spilled drink" at the Shamrock Bar in 1981. He was acquitted eight years when mass memory failure kicked in. Now, the feds say they have him.
