AN EVIL mom put her terminally ill newborn baby in a plastic bag, doused it with gasoline and set her on fire, a court heard yesterday.
But the tragic two-month-old Brandy Ardon didn't die from burning but smoke inhalation, meaning her last moments on earth were spent in pure agony.
The girl suffered from a terminal, genetic disorder - Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome - and had recently been released from hospice care when she died when mother Suceli killed her.
She told cops that she panicked after she thought she gave her baby an accidental, fatal overdose of morphine, a drug she gave the infant to manage her pain.
Ardon's attorney, Sean Sullivan, said she's still grieving the death of her baby, whom she deeply loved.
But now the 26-year-old who already has two children will face homicide charges for the horrific death.
District Judge Steven Kosach ordered that she be released on her own recognizance and wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.

WHO killed Iris Tyson? That's a question cops in Philadelphia would like to answer. The pretty blonde 23-year-old was found bludgeoned to death in an overgrown lot on Sunday.
A cousin told the Philadelphia Daily News: "My cousin would never come here on her own."
Tyson vanished on Mother's Day after telling her parents she was going out to buy a card and a gift for her mom. By evening she hadn't returned and her parents filed a missing persons report and plastered the neighborhood with posters, hoping someone saw something.
But on Sunday, their hopes were crushed when a person collecting bottles discovered her body in tall weeds next to an abandoned home in South
Philadelphia. Her body was found two miles from her house. So far, cops have not revealed whether there are any suspects.

Meanwhile, her tight-knit Irish family are heartbroken at their devastating loss.
Her sister Carol Leidy said that Iris was very close to her parents and particularly her mother and that everyone looked up to her. Irish hoped to be a veterinarian.
She said: "We made a bond - that she would be the godmother to my first child someday and that I would be the godmother to her first child. Now I'll never have that."

A CRAZY mom who shot her husband to death and wounded their 16-year-old son on Mother's Day has been charged with the killings.
Annamaria Gana shot a bullet in the ceiling of her Tustin Ranch, CA home, then when her 72-year-old husband Tony and their son, who has not been named ran into the room she blasted her husband in the chest.
Then she shot her son in the arm before her ran out and called the cops.
Gana's 9-year-old son managed to wrestle the handgun from her hands and get out of the house.
Sheriff's detectives have not released a motive for the shooting.
Quite why she decided to shoot them is unclear but the district attorney's office charged 41-year-old Annamaria Gana with murder and attempted
murder on Monday.
Both Gana and her son are being treated for injuries sustained during the attack.
