LEE GRACE DOUGHERTY: 'I DESERVED TO GET SHOT'

IN HAPPIER TIMES

INJURED
STRIPPER Felon Lee Grace Dougherty told the cops who blasted her leg "I deserved to get shot" after she was busted this week.
The 29-year-old and eldest member of the deadly Dougherty Gang, which also included her brothers Ryan Edward Dougherty, 21, and Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, had aimed her machine gun at Walsenburg, Colo., Police Chief James Chamberlain, before she was shot.
A Pueblo County judge set bond at $1.25 million each on Thursday for the three who had led cops on a cross state crime spree after shooting up a cop car in Florida and robbing a Valadosta, GA bank.

The crazy crew were eventually caught after a wild 100mph chase in southern Colorado during which at least one of the gang took pot shots at pursuing officers.
Lee Dougherty, initially told federal investigators that she and her brothers "weren't trying to hurt anyone" during a wild chase and shootout.
The three who now face charges of attempted murder of a police officer and assault on a police officer
made their first court appearance in Pueblo, Colo., appearing by video from jail.
Barbara Bell of East Palatka, Fla., spoke briefly Thursday to The Associated Press but declined to discuss their ordeal, saying she didn't think it would help them in the long run.
She said: "Thank God they're not tried by the media. They're tried in a court of law and their story will come out at that time."

LEE GRACE DOUGHERTY TRIED TO SHOOT COP

SHOOTER

SHOT
STRIPPER fugitive and best looking member of the deadly "Dougherty Gang" Lee Grace tried to shoot a cop before she was blasted in the leg herself.
After wild car chase, with speeds topping out at over 100mph the crazy siblings were finally caught after they crashed their white Subaru Impreza near a Colorado building site and scattered.
But when a cop caught up with  Lee Grace Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor said she "turned to chamber a round," Taylor said, but was shot in the leg by the cop before she could fire.
Her brothers Ryan, 21 and Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, were also arrested, although it's thought that one of them had to be rushed to hospital.
It brought the huge multi-state manhunt to end for the terrible trio which has stretched from Florida to Colorado over the past week.
Their wild ride began last week after they shot up a police car, before moving on to Valadosta, GA where they robbed a bank.
Then they vanished from sight until they were spotted Tuesday buying camping equipment in Colorado.
But although cops located the campground they were gone by the time they arrived but officers eventually stumbled across their car at a gas station.
Needless to say they didn't come quietly taking off down the I-25.
Investigators think the upcoming birth of leader Ryan Dougherty's child might have sent him and his siblings over the edge.
He had been forced to register as a sex offender after sending explicit text messages to an 11-year-old girl and he feared that his sex offender status would prevent him from seeing his soon to be born child.

DEADLY DOUGHERTY GANG CAPTURED IN COLORADO

DEADLY?

STRIPPER
UPDATE: They got 'em. The Dougherty Gang who had a brief but violent run on the Most Wanted List have been captured in Colorado following a shootout. The trio-- Ryan Edward Dougherty, 21, Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, and 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty were taken into custody after a high-speed chase that ended in a crash Wednesday. Cops in Pueblo say they were spotted trying to buy AK-47 ammo at a Walmart. The gutsy clerk made an excuse why he couldn't sell any and called the cops. A high-speed chase began at 9:36 a.m. and ended 20 miles later. The trio fired at cops. When they crashed their car, Lee Grace came out shooting and was shot in the leg for her troubles. MORE IN THE COLORADOAN
EARLIER: A STRIPPER and her two heavily armed brothers known as the Deadly Dougherty Gang may have been spotted in Colorado, the FBI have revealed.
Lee Grace Dougherty and her brothers Ryan, 21, and Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, went a crime rampage last week, shooting up a police car and then robbing a bank.
It's believed Ryan, the youngest member of the gang, with an astonishing 14 felonies on his record is leading their trail of destruction.
The manhunt for them started the same day that he had allegedly cut off his court-ordered ankle monitoring device having  been forced to register as a sex offender for sending explicit text messages to an 11-year-old girl.
The three were last seen driving a white 4-door Subaru Impreza with Texas license plates LCS 909, which have been reported stolen out of Texas, Colorado Springs police said.
Officials with the FBI's Denver office told ABC News that this new Colorado sighting is credible, based on multiple interviews with witnesses.
FBI spokesman Dave Joly told the Denver Post: "This appears to be the real deal. We believe they pose a very imminent threat to the community we serve and to law enforcement."
He added that they do not know what direction the suspects might be going.
They are urging the public to keep an eye out in rural areas and in campgrounds where the siblings may be staying or hiding out.
However they are urging people not to approach them as they are packing a powerful arsenal and they are clearly not afraid to use it.

DEADLY DOUGHERTY'S: RYAN 'LIVED IN A FANTASY WORLD'

RYAN (MIDDLE) IS THE LEADER
THE leader of the deadly Dougherty gang, who shot up a cop car in a high speed pursuit and the robbed a bank "lived in a fantasy world" according to his lawyer.
Along with his brother Dylan Dougherty Stanley and sister Lee Grace Dougherty, Ryan Dougherty  has been on a crime spree since last Tuesday, when they were last seen holding up the bank in Valdosta, GA.
Despite being the youngest at 21, cops consider Ryan to be the leader of the terrible trio, who are now believed to be hiding out in Tennessee.
But Robert Eddington the Daytona Beach attorney, defended Ryan the last two years against a lewd and lascivious conduct charge said his client "lived in a fantasy world" and he fears he may strike again, with more deadly consequences.
He told ABC Action News Ryan entered his office with a blank stare on his face and communicating with the young man was very difficult.
He said: “He didn’t seem particularly there in terms of his mentality. He seemed to be in another place.
"There was a blank look on his face. It was hard for him to focus and look into my eyes because I wanted him to understand fully what was going on.”
He added: "Ryan had the maturity of a 15-year-old boy and often lived in a fantasy world. I’ve seen it before when someone won’t look at you.
"They have this expression, they don’t want to focus and it’s very concerning.”
Eddington was able to make a deal with the prosecutor that, in exchange for pleading guilty to the lewd and lascivious conduct charge, Ryan was able to avoid jail time.
That deal was finalized in a courtroom last Monday, but the very next day Eddington was told that Ryan had cut off his court-required ankle monitor and was now accused of shooting at a police officer.
He said: “I’m only concerned about their safety and the safety of the public as well. I just hope this comes to a conclusion quickly without injury to anybody other than what’s already occurred.”
