Simoncelli fastest again in FP2

San Carlo Honda Gresini Team’s Marco Simoncelli was quickest for the second practice for the bwin Grande Prémio de Portugal after also topping the timesheets in FP1. The Honda rider got the better of reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha Factory Racing) and Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda).

The Italian lost the front end of his Honda going into turn 3 midway through the session so had to jump onto his second machine but he was never headed. The 24 year old has won at this circuit back in 2009 in the intermediate class and will be aiming for his maiden victory/rostrum after missing out on the opportunity in Spain.
Simoncelli fastest again in FP2

The second practice of the day was run in much hotter temperatures underneath the Portuguese sunshine. The MotoGP class just missed out on the rain which began to fall at the end of the forty five minute practice. All 17 riders were separated by 2.510s.

Lorenzo who has recorded three pole positions here in the premier class, was consistently quick throughout FP2 and finished with a deficit of just 0.061s behind Simoncelli. The 23 year old was 0.003s faster than his rival Pedrosa in third. The Repsol Honda rider has yet to win in any category at this circuit. It’s only one of only four venues the Spaniard has been unable to achieve victory at.

Finishing on identical lap times of 1’38:102 were Valentino Rossi (Ducati Team) and Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda) after their much talked about coming together from the last race in Jerez. The Italian has had five wins here in the premier class. The Australian spent a large portion of the session in the pits as he did in the morning. Stoner claimed his maiden victory in the intermediate category back here in 2005.

Colin Edwards (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) was again solidly in the top ten, keen to put the disappointment of Jerez behind him. The American has had two fourth places here in 2006 and 2008 which are his best results at this circuit. Rookie Karel Abraham (Cardion ab Motoracing) was seventh quickest in only his third race of the MotoGP campaign. The Czech rider finished in 10th place here last season.

Ben Spies (Yamaha Factory Racing) has not had a happy time so far at this venue after crashing on the sighting lap here in 2010 and therefore was unable to take part in the race. After a run off in first practice this morning, the Yamaha rider was eighth fastest, 0.900s off Simoncelli’s best time.

The final two places in the top went to two Ducati machines. Ninth was Nicky Hayden (Ducati Team) who will be hoping to achieve the first win for Ducati at this circuit. Héctor Barberá (Mapfre Aspar Team) who had his best ever finish in MotoGP after his sixth place in Jerez was tenth quickest in FP2. The ten riders were covered by less than a second.

iZettle's chip-reading Square competitor will take your money, no swipes required (video)

iZettle's

Everyone seems to be getting on board with Square's iPhone credit card reader -- Apple started selling the device in its stores last week, and even Visa has taken a financial interest in the company. However, due to the popularity of fraud-fighting chip-enabled smart cards on the other side of the pond, Square's offering doesn't quite fit the bill. iZettle has a similar solution for Europe that includes the ever-so-necessary smart card reader, which the company is launching in Sweden this June. Not only does it enable you to accept credit card payments from friends or customers, the app adds a social twist. Merchants can email a photograph and receipt to buyers, who can then share their latest spoils on Facebook. Of course, if this starts to catch on, it could make explaining that "awesome deal" you scored on a new laptop that much more difficult when it pops up on your significant other's news feed.

Jesse McCartney pulls the door closed on cameras as he leaves Boa restaurant in Beverly Hills on Monday night (March 14).

The 23-year-old musician recently chatted with JJJ about looking around for a new piano to celebrate his new album. “I haven’t found one yet though,” Jesse shared.

He continued, “I used to take lessons when I was younger and want to take some more, actually. I know enough here and there but I really want to zero in on my songs and learn a few of my own, so when I do go out on tour and perform these songs, I can hopefully play some stuff.”

The Black Angels Announce 2011 North America Headlining Tour

The Black Angels Announce 2011 North America Headlining Tour
and we say “Thank you.” No, really, we do. A little reverb here, a little tambourine shaking there. Good times, my friend.

Once again, that black-light, acid trip special we love and know as The Black Angels are about to hit the road, flexing their music muscles as headliners on the heels of their watershed 2010 release “Phosphene Dream”. As third albums go, “Phosphene Dream”- which took the band out of their Austin, TX comfort zone- produced a tighter and, oddly, brighter palette on The Black Angels’ psych-rock penchant for fuzz and drone. With an automatic (and possibly required by law) stop at the Austin Psych Fest in April-May, the tour kicks off in March in New Orleans, LA taking them across the US, a few dates above the border (Canada) and brings them home to Texas in May. Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato

Famous as : Actress, singer
Birth Name : Demetria Devonne Lovato
Birth Date : August 20, 1992
Birth Place : Dallas, Texas, USA
Claim to fame : As Mitchie Torres in Disney Channel Original Movie "Camp Rock" (2008)

Demi LovatoBorn in Texas on August 20, 1992, Demi Lovato is the daughter of Patrick Lovato and Dianna Lovato. She has an older sister named Dallas Lovato. In 1994, her father decided to move to New Mexico after his divorce from Dianna. A year later, her mother married Eddie DeLaGarza and Demi's new family expanded when her younger sister, Madison DeLaGarza, was born.

At the age of 10, Demi debuted her acting career when she played Angela in PBS' children television show "Barney and Friends". On the set of the TV show, she met Selena Gomez and the two became good friends. Over the next few years, she continued to pursue her love for acting and singing. Under the guidance of her mother, who is a former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and country recording artist, she appeared in a number of productions and contests throughout the state of Texas.

In 2006, she tried to make her way into bigger television series by joining the cast of several television shows, including "Prison Break", "Split Ends (Pilot)", and "Just Jordan". As time went by, Demi accepted Disney Channel's offer to be a regular in first season of their short show, "As the Bell Rings".

On the show, she stars as Charlotte Adams, a girl whom the main male character, Danny Neilson, dated.

Demi LovatoStill, she didn't claim her fame until 2008 when she landed the part of Mitchie Torres in Disney's musical smash made-for-TV movie, "Camp Rock", alongside teen band sensation Jonas Brothers. Having to explore her singing talent deeper in "Camp Rock" and make a lasting impression with it, she then decided to jump deeper into music industry by touring solo on "Demi Live! Warm Up Tour". Following that solo gigs, Demi joined the Jonas boys in their 2008 Tour, entitled "Burning Up Tour".

In between her tight schedule, she took another project, once again signing a deal with Disney Channel. This time, it is for their next original movie entitled "Princess Protection Program". On top of that, the actress, who plays drum, guitar, and piano, was slated to star in her own TV series, "Welcome to Mollywood" where she will portray Molly, an aspiring actress who gets a role on a television show.

Before starring in "Mollywood" though, Demi entered the recording room and cooked new materials for her upcoming debut album, "Don't Forget", with the help from the three Jonas brothers. While waiting for the record's release date, her lead single, "Get Back", was dropped on August 12. It peaked at number 43 in Billboard Hot 200 chart and reached number 16 in Hot Digital Songs.
